What are my career prospects?

A) The Group has got ambitious plans for candidates entering the Group through this scheme. It is expected that subject to meeting the expectations of the management, persons entering through Management Trainee Scheme, would reach senior management level within 7 – 10 years. Upon completion of the training program they will be absorbed at the Assistant Manager level and thereafter will move on to higher levels depending on performance, managerial skills and creating value for the organization.

Will I get overseas exposure?

A) Yes depending upon the job profile and business exigencies. This will however also depend upon each company’s strategic intent including exports and business expansion strategy.

What sorts of job will I do?

A) This is a managerial scheme and therefore it is expected that the person will play a managerial role under various functions. However, during the earlier stages of the career they will be given more hands on responsibilities so that they could learn on the job. Depending on the exact functional level and the company in which they are absorbed, the responsibilities and KPI’s will be clearly defined.

Will I work from the corporate office?

A) You will work from the corporate office or factories of the individual companies as the case may be.

Do I have to work in the factory?

A) It depends upon the function you choose eg., Manufacturing, Materials or HR etc. If you are from an engineering discipline or HR, you will definitely have a role to play in the factory unless you opted for a non-technical function.

Will expatriate managers be happy to train us since we may replace some expatriate positions in future?

A) Senior expatriate managers will act as mentors during the early part of the career. Since OMZEST Group is growing fast, there is need for managers at senior levels and therefore it is not correct to assume that persons coming through this scheme will be replacing existing expatriate managers.
